It was hot, hot, hot!!

All my life I've seen this devotional book Streams in the Desert and I'm yet to read it, but if I did I'm sure it would remind me of my friend Billy's church,Oasis Community Church, in Scottsdale, AZ. While I was there the temperature hit 115 degrees, and while I've always been told that dry heat is not bad, this was hot. I was able to do some 4 wheeling up a mountain and even play basketball and softball out in the sun during my visit, and I have to say that nothing looked better to me than a bottle of water. I cannot begin to describe to you the importance of water in that location. It was used for everything and while I've known the value of the ol' H2O, I've never grasped its significance in the way I did on this trip. This is the concept that Oasis Community is trying to convey to their neighborhood, and they are doing a wonderful job of it. If you look carefully at the picture, you will see a waterfall that visually conveys the concept. While I was visiting Billy gave a great message on the Family of God and what it takes to become part of that family. My heart was thrilled to see their consistent message about the Living Water that will quench your soul's thirst.

Thanks Oasis for partnering with us in the ministry of bringing the Living Water to a thirsty world!!
