Skyler joins the family of God

About a week ago our family had a special day. I was invited to speak on a TV program about our time in Fiji (for those of you who don't know we served in Fiji for about 2 years). It was a fun and rewarding experience to go on TV. When I returned home the family cheered about the program and then my wife said she had better news for me. I assumed that God was already using the program for something about our ministry in South Africa. She then told me of how Skyler had asked her about salvation and when she discussed it with him, she felt confident that he understood. So that night our youngest child, Skyler, accepted the free gift of salvation by God, offered to him for his sins, because of the finished work of Christ on the cross. It has always been my dream to know that my entire family would be reunited in heaven and I'm grateful for this answer to prayer. The next morning as I spoke with Skyler, he said this to me, "Now we are all part of God's family." WOW!!!

Thank you Lord, for the free gift of salvation, made simple enough for a child to understand and accept. Jesus said to let the little children come unto Him, so we're not going to stop Skyler. We hope he will run to Jesus all the time.
