Millions of People

On Monday of last week, I visited New York City with my friend Rod, and although I had lived on Long Island for 7 years, I had never spent as much time in the city as on this visit. We spent most of our day in Manhattan and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. On thing I had never done before was to visit the Empire State Building, and this picture is a view from the top looking south towards where the Twin Towers once stood. Not only is it an amazing view, but it was sobering to think of the millions of people within my sight who did not know Christ as Saviour and were facing an eternity in the Lake of Fire. Then I thought of the many ministries in the city that are seeking to reach the people of NYC, and it was encouraging to know that God is using them to reach the lost. But then I thought about Johannesburg, a city of 8 million, who need to hear the Gospel message as well. They too are facing a deplorable future, and I was awed to think of the potential of our ministry to reach so many for Christ in Johannesburg. II Tim. 2:2 calls us to teach the TRUTH to faithful men who will be able to teach others. Please continue to pray that we will soon be able to go and serve with the churches there to reach a lost and dying world.
